Executive Director, Coalition of Mental Health Professionals, Los Angeles, CA
After the Rodney King verdict and ensuing riots, Cox rallied fellow colleagues to create a coalition to provide mental health services to the working poor of South Central Los Angeles. She also founded programs to provide housing for the chronically mentally ill and counseling for domestic violence victims.
