Leader’s Biography 1995: Chief Executive Officer, Community Health Development, Inc. (Uvalde County Clinic), Uvalde, TX Gonzales-Hanson started as an administrative assistant for Uvalde’s health clinic when it was housed in a trailer. Two years later, she became executive director. Gonzales-Hanson recruited family doctors and much-needed pharmaceutical services to what is now a federally-qualified health center in this isolated, poor, predominantly Hispanic farming and ranch community.
