Leader’s Biography 2009: Megan Charlop, MPH, is the founder and Director of the Community Health Division at the Montefiore School Health Program where she oversees the program’s public health initiatives. Montefiore School Health Program offers comprehensive care to 15,000 students in 16 school-based health centers located in the Bronx. Ms. Charlop spearheaded the development of the Montefiore Safe House for Lead Poisoning Prevention, the Hunts Point Asthma Initiative’s school component, Greening for Breathing, the Norwood Nursery, and she currently serves on the boards of the NYC Coalition to End Lead Poisoning and the Public Health Association of NYC.
