Leader’s Biography 2003:
Executive Director, Homeless Prenatal Program, San Fransisco, CA
Inspired by her experience in the Peace Corps, Ryan, a nurse practitioner, created a program in which formerly homeless mothers help provide prenatal care to other homeless women. Ryan’s program offers 1,800 women a year access to health care, emergency shelter, domestic violence programs and substance abuse treatment.
