Leader's Biography 2010:
After selling his private dental practice, Kris Volcheck began searching for a more fulfilling career. He volunteered to deliver food to homeless people, and worked as a case manager at a homeless shelter, where he witnessed the dire social costs of poor oral health. Volcheck established the CASS Dental Clinic for the Homeless to provide comprehensive oral health services to this underserved population. Recently, Volcheck has joined other community leaders in launching school-based dental clinics for impoverished students in four elementary schools.
