Leader’s Biography 2005:
Executive Director, National Mobilization Against Sweatshops, Brooklyn, NY
The daughter of Chinese immigrants, Lum founded this nonprofit to harness the power of worker campaigns to create healthier workplaces and communities. In addition, she has launched, “Beyond Ground Zero,” a coalition of public health advocates, doctors and clergy that came together in response to the health crisis among Lower Manhattan’s poor population following 9/11.
