Leader’s Biogaphy 2004: Founder and National Director, Kids Kicking Cancer, Detroit, MI Goldberg, a black belt in karate who lost his first child to leukemia, created a program that uses martial arts therapy to empower young cancer patients and help them manage pain. Social workers and child life specialists who are also martial arts experts teach weekly classes at Michigan and New York hospitals.
