Leader’s Biography 1997: Director, HIV/AIDS Project, American Indian Community House, New York, NY Native American and gay, Harris began an AIDS awareness program using traditional Native American talking circles that has become a model for urban Indian health. Establishing the Native American Leadership Commission on HIV/AIDS, Harris also co-produced an education and prevention plan for Native American communities that resulted in the creation of four satellite clinics across the state.
